The Growers is a family-founded farm, nursery, and agriculture consulting practice based in Sagnehar, Chauntra — nestled between the Dhauladhar and Shivalik mountain ranges in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Founded in 2022 by Chirag Rathore, the farm grows on land and values his family has tended for generations.
Our Story
Chirag Rathore didn't start The Growers from scratch — he started it from memory. Growing up on his family's land in the Mandi hills, he watched the seasons, the soil, and the craft of farming up close. The Growers is his way of carrying that heritage forward — combining the principles his family built on with modern technology and a clear vision for what a Himachal hill farm can produce.
What began with herbs and apple nursery work has grown into a full farming and consulting operation, supplying restaurants, hotels, and orchardists across the region and beyond.

How We Grow
Our Italian Sweet Basil is grown inside climate-controlled, biosecure vertical growing infrastructure. No insecticides, no seasonal dependency, consistent quality 365 days a year.
Herbs like rosemary, thyme, oregano, parsley, and celery are grown in open beds and protected blocks in Himachal mountain soil — the same clean, well-drained hillside conditions that give Mediterranean herbs their character.
Our nursery produces apple rootstock seedlings and grafted apple plants propagated in Mandi's established apple-growing belt — grown for strong root systems and long orchard life.
