1. M9 Tissue-Cultured Rootstock (Dwarfing)
The global gold standard for high-density and ultra-high-density apple field-orcharding (1,000 to 3,000+ trees per acre).
Growth Profile: Dwarfing rootstock, keeping the mature tree size at roughly 25% to 35% of a standard seedling tree.
Precocious Yielding: Unmatched speed to harvest. Trees grafted on tissue-cultured M9 routinely begin bearing fruit by the 2nd or 3rd year after field planting, hitting peak commercial volumes incredibly early.
Soil & Support Preference: Requires a well-drained, high-fertility soil profile with a consistent irrigation setup (drip systems are highly recommended).
